Iran’s share in Spa industry on rise

Tehran, Feb 6, IRNA – Managing Director of Aspian Spa company Meisam Asgari said on Monday that active presence of Iran at international tourism exhibitions help rise share of Iran in Spa industry which is very lucrative.

 

Speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of the 10th International Tourism and Related Industries, he said share of Iran in this business is very minor.

The company has two branches in Tehran and rendering health treatment to customers. 

Spa is a bath containing hot aerated water or commercial establishment providing facilities devoted especially to health, fitness, weight loss, beauty, and relaxation, he said. 

The annual turnover of Spa in the US In 2010 was about dlrs 12.8 billion and could help boost tourism industry in the Islamic Republic of Iran as well, he said. 

Iran should try to increase its share in this industry as cultural grounds for promoting the industry in the country are well prepared, Asgari said. 

Installation of Spa facilities in residential places and hotels can help attract more foreign tourists to the Iranian marketplace, he said. 

Aspian Spa branch in Shemshak with beautiful view provides tourists with high qualities tourism facilities, he said adding that the second branch has been opened at Imam Khomeini International airport.

Spa industry is offered to customers in top tourism destinations round the globe such as in Malaysia, Turkey, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and the US, he said.

Two other new branches are to be inaugurated in Tehran and Mazandaran province in the near future, he said.

Tehran International Tourism Exhibition is open to public during February 6-9.
