Iran-Netherlands Trade and Cultural Center opens in Hague

Tehran, Sept 10, IRNA - Iran-Netherlands Trade and Cultural Center (INTCC) opens in the Hague, a city in west of the Netherlands.

Iran's Vice-President and Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Massoud Soltanifar and a number of Iranian and Dutch officials were present in the opening ceremony.

At the ceremony, Soltanifar said the Iranian government is to activate cultural, trade and economic exchanges between the two countries as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has prepared the ground for it.

Iran, he added, is to do so far from the political disputes aroused by certain states which see serving their interests to impose sanctions on Iran.

Iran and the Netherland have had cordial ties since many years ago, Soltanifar said, adding there is no limitation on development of their bilateral ties in the areas of culture, economy and politics.

Also, Iran's Ambassador to the Netherlands Ali Reza Jahangiri commented on the opening of the INTCC, saying the center can be used for the future ties not only with the Netherlands but also with the members of the European Union (EU).

INTCC which established by the private sector is the first of its kind in Europe. It will put the Iranian products including hand-made carpets, handicrafts and furniture on display and will also follow up relations between the tradespersons as well as those who are active in the area of culture.
