 Iran exports more than 11m tons of petrochemicals

Tehran, Nov 12, IRNA – Iran exported 11.742 million tons of varying kinds of petrochemicals in the first seven months (March 20-October 21) of the current Iranian calendar year of 1395 (started on March 20).

According to the report of National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Iran's annual petrochemical production capacity stands at more than 63 million tons and intends to increase it to 130 million tons until the year of 1404 (Next 10 years).
In recent years, because of elimination of sanctions and facilitation of export and increase in supplying necessary fuel, production of different types of petrochemicals has grown.
Upon the report, the real figure of petrochemical industry production in the first seven months of the year has been around 28.753 million tons.
The share of 20 petrochemical complexes in Mahshahr from total production of the industry was more than 10.228 million tons, the share of 14 petrochemical complexes in Asaloyeh 12.866 million tons and the share of 19 petrochemical complexes in other parts of the country is 5.658 million tons.
