GeriLact ® is a synbiotic (probiotic + prebiotic) formulation which is suitable for the elderly (older than 50 years old) and contains high amounts of 6 safe and beneficial bacterial strains plus fructooligosaccharides as prebiotic. Strains and prebiotic used include the following: • Lactobacillus rhamnosus • Lactobacillus bulgaricus • Lactobacillus casei • Lactobacillus acidophilus • Bifidobacterium breve • Bifidobacterium longum • Streptococcus thermophilus 10⁹CFU + Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) The Human gastrointestinal tract is colonized with a diverse population of microbes (microbial flora).
