Shiraz, Cyprus International Universities ink MoU on cooperation
Shiraz, Dec 24, IRNA – University of Shiraz and Cyprus International University (CIU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote scientific cooperation.
According to Public Relations Department of University of Shiraz, Chancellor of CIU Halil Nadiri told the signing ceremony, 'We are ready to plan and launch cooperation with University of Shiraz.'
CIU is ready to have cooperation with University of Shiraz in different fields, especially solving problem of Cyprus potable water and launching scientific magazine in the country's international university.
Deputy Chancellor of University of Shiraz Seyyed Ali Akbar Safavi said that the academic center is determined to further boost scientific cooperation in the international scene.
'We are seeking implementation of memoranda of understanding in a bid to enhance international communications in the true sense of the word,' he said.
The official also said that the two universities can help development of tourism industry in both countries.
Meanwhile, Director of International Affairs Department of University of Shiraz Zohreh Azimifar said that the MoU will clear the way for exchange of students and instructors, undertaking joint projects, holding courses of study and international conferences.
