Tehran, Moscow examine ways to boost export of Iranian goods to Russia

Moscow, March 28, IRNA - Iranian Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade, during a meeting on Monday with Russian investors and managers of the countries export-import companies, sought ways to increase export of Iranian goods to Russia.

Mohammad-Reza Nematzadeh, who accompanies President Rouhani in his two-day visit to Russia, discussed with managers of some main chain companies with around 5000 subsidiaries across Russia to prepare the ground for importing Iranian commodities and produced goods to the country.

On the menu are Halal foods and other Iranian-made foodstuffs, fruits and agricultural products.

Nematzadeh also met Russian oil managers and some of the authorities at one of the country’s bus factories.

During the meetings, the two sides examined ways to promote industrial and energy ties.

President Rouhani is in Moscow at a formal invitation by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

The visit by Iranian President and his accompanying high-ranking delegation is expected to see signing of 15 cooperation documents between Iran and Russia in an array of spheres, including consular, tourism, economy, telecommunications, and law and judicial affairs.
