Iraqi Kurdistan labor minister departs for Tehran

Erbil, Dec 11, IRNA – Iraqi Kurdistan Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Muhammad Kader Hawdeyani departed Erbil on Sunday afternoon for Tehran to develop cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and signing a memorandum of understanding.

Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Head of Department for Relations with Iran Abdullah Akrayi told IRNA in Erbil that in this visit, the Labor Minister Hawdeyani will sign MoU on cooperation with Iran's Labor ministry.

Following direct order of the KRG's prime Minister for extradition of prisoners of the two countries last year, 97 Iranian prisoners were extradited to Iran to spend their prison terms in Iranian prisons.

He reminded that five prisoners were also extradited to the KRG.

Akrayi said that 22 other Iranian prisoners will be extradited to Iran soon.
