Iran, Kazakhstan set up direct flight between Aktau. Gorgan

Tehran, Sept 20, IRNA – On the auspicious occasion of Eid-e Ghadir, Iran and Kazakhstan set up direct flight between Aktau, Mangystau province of Kazakhstan and Gorgan, Golestan province of Iran.

Iranian Consul General in Aktau, Mahmoud Adib said that the first direct flight was launched from the Kazakh Mangystau region capital city Aktau to the Iranian provincial capital of Gorgan.

Iranian Consul General Adib said that the Iranian and Kazakh governments decided to set up the direct flight between Mangystau of Kazakhstan and Golestan province of Iran three years ago.

He said that the direct flight will serve to develop economic and cultural cooperation between the two provinces of Iran and Kazakhstan.

He said that about 7,000 Kazakh expatriates are living in Golestan province of Iran and the direct flight will help the people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

He said that the Kazakh nationals would come to Iran for tourism and the health tourism.
