Gas condensate exports of Iran soar by 67%

Managing Director of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) Mehdi Yousefi touched upon the latest status of gas condensate exports since the beginning of current Iranian calendar year (began March 20) saying “in the first five months of the current year, more than seven million tons of gas condensate were deployed to world markets bringing about a profit worth about 2.9 billion dollars.”

The official, while pointing to the 67 percent uplift in exports of gas condensate from South Pars join field, asserted “in the meantime, the aggregate volume of exports for non-oil and gas condensate products has mounted to 7.4 billion dollars.”

“The figure for exports of South Pars goods and products in the five-month period reveals a 36 percent rise compared to the same timespan a year ago,” he continued.

Yousefi noted that more than 8.2 million tons of non-oil products worth 4.5 billion dollars were shipped from PSEEZ in the mentioned time period, “these non-oil commodities, comprising heavy and light polyethylene, diethylene glycol, mono ethylene glycol, urea, butane, propane, Paraxylene, cement and methanol, have been exported to 29 different countries indicating a 40 percent growth in exports and production of South Pars as compared with the same period previous year.”

The overall exports volume for PSEEZ in the first five months of the current year stood at 15.3 million tons worth 7.4 billion dollars while the figures for weight value have risen by 55 and 36 per cent as compared with the similar timespan in the preceding year.
