Japanese businessmen keen on export of Zarandiyeh pistachio

Saveh, Markazi Province, Aug 23, IRNA – A Japanese business delegation on a visit to Zarandiyeh Pistachio gardens have voiced interest in export pistachio from Iran.

Governor of Zarandiyeh city of Iran Mohammad Kordi told IRNA that the Japanese delegation is making feasibility study on export of agriculture crops of Zarandiyeh, especially pistachio.

He said that agricultural crops of Zarandiyeh, because of diversity in production and high quality, have been welcomed by foreign countries, including Arab states of the Persian Gulf and other Asian and European countries.

Kordi said that Zarandiyeh pistachio is a known brand of pistachio in the world and noticeable amount of the crop being exported to foreign markets annually.

Managing Director of Japanese LTEC, Takashi Okada, underlined joint venture trade and economic cooperation with Iranian partners in the field of agriculture and industry.

He said that Iran has prepared appropriate grounds for interaction and trade and economic cooperation with other countries in post–sanctions era.

Okada said that Zarandiyeh has eye-catching capabilities in the fields of agriculture and industry and considering the the feasibility study, the grounds for joint venture investment will be prepared in near future.

Deputy Governor General of Markazi Province for management development and human resources Zafar Afshon said that Zarandiyeh has special geographical position and is close to Imam Khomeini International Airport with access to the biggest transport networks for transit of goods.
