Iranian Petrochem Company Unveils 8 Products
Jam Petrochemical Company in Asalouyeh, Bushehr Province, has unveiled eight products indigenized by Iranian experts.
“The new petrochemical grades will bring in $100 million in foreign exchange revenues each year,” Seyyed Hossein Mir-Afzali, managing director of the company, was quoted as saying by Shana on the sidelines of a ceremony attended by Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Affairs Ali Rabiei.
The eight products, which are the end products of petrochemicals, include car bumpers, gasoline tank, pipes and a new kind of fiber and packaging material.
According to Jam Petrochemical Company’s official website, it stands first in Iran in terms of production capacity and is one of the largest petrochemical producers in the world in certain products.
With a production capacity of 1.32 million tons of ethylene and 306,000 tons of propylene per year, the company's olefin unit is one of the largest in the world.
Mir-Afzali added that the company’s eight products will not only meet domestic needs, but can also be exported to international markets.
The new materials were initially produced in the company’s research and technology unit by local specialists.
