Iran health minister calls for medical ties with Cuba
Tehran, Aug 13, IRNA - Minister of Health and Medical Education Hassan Hashemi on Saturday called for strengthening relations with the Cuban government on the health and medical areas.
Hashemi made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Cuban Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas.
Hashemi deplored the fact that the two nations have been subject to the US arbitrary sanctions, saying that thank God all the restrictions have caused success.
After the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and world powers, the grounds are well prepared for further bilateral cooperation, Hashemi added.
Cabrisas is scheduled to visit Pasteur Institute of Iran, Hashemi said hoping that such a visit would pave the way for cooperation in production of vaccine and exchange of university students.
Pasteur Institute of Iran is a research, production and education center that is well known for its frontline research, innovative products and progressive education. It has international and national cooperation with special focus on industry.
About the visit to Cuba of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in the near future, Hashemi hoped such travel would bring widening of bilateral relations in all areas, economic fields in particular.
