Iran Ready to Supply Crude to Russian Refinery in Bosnia

TEHRAN (FNA)- Managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) voiced Iran's readiness to provide feedstock to Zarubej Neft's oil refinery in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Speaking to Shana, Ali Kardor underlined signature of an MoU between NIOC and Zarubej Neft on Tuesday, saying the deal concerns studies by the Russian side on two Iranian oil fields. 

Furthermore, he added, the two sides have stressed cooperation in various energy fields including oil swap and trading of the commodity as well as its products. 

Kardor further added that NIOC is prepared to supply crude oil to a refinery that Zarubej Neft owns in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Under this MoU, the Russian sides has agreed to keep information about the two fields confidential and only for the purposes of its studies, added Kardor.

"Zarubej Neft will pay for the expenses of its studies over the two Iranian fields and will offer the result of its studies to NIOC for further consideration," he added, saying that the confidential deal is not biding for NIOC. 

Managing Director of Zarubej Neft Sergey I. Kudryashov said on Tuesday that his company will soon offer its proposal on increasing the coefficient of oil recovery from two Iranian oilfields.
