Iran’s non-oil exports hit $27 bn during first 7 months

TEHRAN, Oct. 29 (MNA) – Foroud Asgari, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) says non-oil exports reached $27.2 billion during the first 7 months since the start of Iranian year of 1397 ((from March 21 to October 22.)

 

 

According to the official website of IRICA, Foroud Asgari said on Monday that the volume of overall non-oil exports amounted to 67.362 million tons valued at $27.2 billion.

Asgari added that during the first 7 months since the start of Iranian year of 1397 (from March 21 to October 22) the value of Iranian exports rose by 13.35% compared to the same period last year, while the overall volume of the imports was 18.929 million tons valued at $26.3 billion.

The volume and value of imports fell by 8.68% and 11.07%, respectively compared to the same period last year.

The IRICA head further noted that the overall value of foreign trade during the first 7 months exceeded $53.5 billion, while trade surplus was $926 million.

Asgari stated that gas condensate, liquid propane, gasoline, methanol and polyethylene films, respectively, were the major exported commodities, while car parts, rice and soybeans, respectively, constituted the most part of imported goods during that period.
