Pars Khodro to Upgrade 3 Chinese Models
A subsidiary of SAIPA, Pars Khodro, will introduce upgraded versions of three Chinese-derived vehicles assembled and produced in Iran.
According to Shahriar Tahmasebi, the company’s deputy for engineering affairs, three Brilliance models namely the C3, H320 and H330 will be offered with new engines and transmission systems before the current fiscal ends in March, SAIPA News reported.
The improved engines will increase the models’ both acceleration power and horse power. “Engine power will go from 103hp to 114hp … acceleration will be enhanced up to 15%.”
He did not say whether the car prices will rise.
Gearboxes of the cars are designed by Hyundai PowerTech Company, a subsidiary of the South Korean giant Hyundai Motors in collaboration with SAIPA’s auto parts maker Mega Motor.
As per a deal between the two firms singed in October 2017, two new models of gearboxes will be produced in Iran.
