Iran, Finland sign customs cooperation agreement
Iran and Finland on Tuesday evening inked cooperation agreement on fighting illegal drugs and customs regulations in Helsinki, Finland.
The agreement was sealed by Head of Islamic Republic of Iran’s Customs Administration (IRICA) Masoud Karbasian and the Director General of the Finnish Customs Antti Juhani Hartikainen.
According to the agreement, the two countries will promote cooperation on custom regulations, products’ value and classification, enforcing rules, transportation rules and the way to fight narcotic drugs and psychoactive drugs.
Both sides discussed challenges and cross-border trade opportunities and the ways to foster trade relations
Iranian and Finnish officials also agreed on feasibility of electronic information exchange and electronic inquiry.
