Amiodarone is used in cardiac arrhythmias such as ventricular fibrillation (VF), atrial fibrillation, and pulseless ventricular tachycardia after giving the third shock in the advanced cardiac resuscitation algorithm (as well as pulsed and sustained ventricular tachycardia).
