Mapna STS was established in 1996, by making pressure tanks and storage, heat exchangers, mixers, metal structures and other mechanical equipment used in the industries.

Mapna STS continued its work by fabricating the exhaust system and air intake system of gas turbine V94.2, under direct supervision of the company "ANSALDO ENERGIA" Italy. The next step was the construction of the E-type turbine equipment with a power of 159 megawatts which was built under the direct supervision of "SIEMENS", Germany. In 2006, the company’s shares were purchased by MAPNA Company, and Mapna STS became a major manufacturer of power plants (gas, steam, combined cycle and wind). Production of plants and equipment for oil, gas and petrochemical industries such as turbo compressors, heat transfer equipment, towers, as well as the complete water desalination system of MED-TVC, was also began in line with the activities of the Mapna Group.
